Snow?!

We have had a mild winter so far. It seemed like all the towns around us were getting snow, but we were staying dry. (Which is OK by me.) When we went to the Christmas party last week end, the roads were so bad around their area, but as soon as we went over the mountain and headed down into our neck of the woods, the roads were dry as a bone.

On Sunday morning I woke up to a skiff of snow on the lawn, not even enough to measure.

Then Bob opened the shades on our kitchen window and this is what we saw.

It is a three foot snow drift. Apparently around here it doesn't snow all over, just in random spots. :0) No, actually our driveway is a perfect wind tunnel and we collect all the snow off the neighboring fields in our driveway. Makes for nasty shoveling. Have you seen those wooden wind breakers along the freeways in Idaho? We need some of those!
