Hannalee also loves to say hi to random people in the parking lot. We will be walking along and she'll spot someone across the parking lot and yell, "Hi!" But heaven forbid they say hi back. If they do, which they usually do, she buries her head into my shoulder and plays shy.
Many nights Hannalee still wakes up crying, whimpering, and sometimes screaming. I am not a pleasant person to be woken up, especially when I think a certain someone should be sleeping through the night at this age. But I have to smile when I open the door to Hannalee's room, she immediately stops crying, and softly says, "Hi."
