This year we did dye eggs. Hannalee was not so sure it was a good idea to be putting eggs in cups of colored water. She just wanted to eat them. But after she saw how pretty they where she got the hang of it.
I had to keep reminding myself as Hannalee spilled dye, broke eggs, and mixed colors that she was only 2 and this is what I get for dying eggs with a 2 year old.
It was fun though and the eggs turned out beautiful. Hannalee enjoys picking what color of egg to eat for breakfast. I'm sure white eggs will never be as good again.

Hannalee's new Easter dress
We headed to Bob's family's house for Easter dinner and some fun. They have a tradition of hiding the Easter baskets. Hannalee enjoyed looking for her basket with Grandma.
She was so excited to find it and even more excited to find that there were "parshpellow" (marshmallows) in it.
To add to her sugar high we also decorated cookies. Hannalee enjoyed licking off the frosting and then "sharing" her cookie (she wasn't fond of the cookie part).

Well, it looks like you're doing a good job already.
We have never used the Easter Bunny here, we told the kids early on that we (eric and I) just have too much fun hiding the eggs ourselves. We do eggs on Saturday, with nothing but dinner on Sunday, and Eric and I don't do "gifts" just candy and maybe a book or craft item (play doh, pens, chalk, etc).
Also, the FHE the week before is all about Easter, and we do a special FHE on Sunday.

We have "the 12 Eggs of Easter." We did it with Jaylee Friday night, and my mother-in-law did it again Sunday with our whole family. Jaylee seemed to get it. We hid the eggs easy for her to find then we opened one at a time to see what was inside.
Basically there are 12 eggs that tell the real story of Easter. Each egg has different things that represent something from the Easter story and the scripture that goes with it. The last egg is empty with the scripture "He is not here; for He is Risen."
