She mostly plays "house" with her baby dolls. Her naming of the dolls is to the point. There's Red Baby, Blue Baby, New Baby, Tiny Baby, and Hair Baby. She takes care of them and does things with them that she sees us do with Tayo. The first thing she wants to do in the morning is find her baby doll. She then says, "Good morning sweet baby." She helps them walk by holding them up. The dolls are constantly getting undress, diapers changed, baths in her pretend kitchen's sink, and dressed (in Tayo's clothes). She feeds her dolls by nursing them. One day as we were preparing to leave the house Hannalee informed me that she needed to feed Red Baby first. She climbed up into my rocking chair, pulled up her shirt and nursed the doll. Then she said, "Wait, I need to feed on the other side." I waited while she then switched sides and finished with a good burping for the baby doll.
She likes to pretend she is going places when she rides her trike. We pretend to visit and feed the horses (which are in the corner of the kitchen). One horse bites so make sure to ask her which one you can pet. She likes to "go to town" and buy groceries. But she always seems to forget something and has to make multiple trips. She also goes to work and her dolls have to stay home, usually under my supervision.
Her new favorite game is to play church and nursery in our back office. She sits her dolls down and reads them stories and sings to them. She walked out without her dolls and said to me, "I left them in nursery like mommy does. They don't cry."
She also likes to play "feed the animals." In this picture she decided this toy food was a horse. We made it a fence and fed it hay. It would get out of the fence, be naughty, and then I would have to lock it back up.
