A Kiss For a Dollar

Hannalee is shy around new people, but she especially isn't fond of men (except for her daddy). She gets especially shy around my dad. He is tall and can be intimidating, as well as a tease. My dad would tell Hannie, "I can see you." And Hannalee would bury herself into me trying to hide. He could be all the way across the room, she could already be hiding under a blanket, and as he says, "I can see you" she would whine and squirm trying to hide even more.

So, in order to get a kiss from Hannalee my dad said he would give her a dollar. Though she has no concept of money, getting a green piece of paper is great. Some times she'll give him a quick kiss, grab the dollar, and run. She is warming up to him, but now my dad has taught her a bad habit. Hannalee will sit on my dad's lap, give him a kiss, and then start rummaging in his shirt pocket where he keeps his wallet. She already has $15 in her piggy bank!
