Crawling!

Hannalee finally decided that it is time to become mobile. She has been rolling around for a few weeks now and had figured out how to go from laying down to sitting up. But she has really wanted to walk. We were afraid she would skip right over the crawling phase because she was so insistent on trying to stand and loves to walk around holding our fingers. But she started getting on her knees last week. When I was down for physical therapy last Tuesday, Hannalee was with my grandpa and he said he'd bet she was crawling in a week. And to the very day of his prediction, she crawl across my grandparents living room, her first really successful crawl. She's still not very quick and is very cautious, but she is getting where she needs to go. Baby proofing here we come!

(P.S. Listen to the new noise she learned. She moves her tongue back and forth to make it. She does it constantly now. But it is a lot better then her spitting noise.)

yay! It looks like you're weekend will now be full of baby-proofing. Here's a hint, once you've done it, don't bother "un-doing" it when she's bigger. You'll just have to do it again. We've had safety plugs on our outlets for 8 1/2 years! So much fun though. Oh, here's another bit we learned with Eme-skirts can slow them down, we used to tuck hers into the diaper covers. love you guys, we're looking forward to seeing you all sometime this summer.
