4th of July 2013

I can not believe that my favorite day of the year has come and gone.  The 4th of July to me is the mid point of the summer. After that things go too quickly; the days get shorter; the nights get cooler; and (sniff) the time gets closer and closer to my little girl leaving me for school.

Ok, lets not dwell on that.  Lets focus on what a wonderful 4th of July we had.

Bob really wanted Hannalee to ride her bike in the parade.  That's right Bob wanted it, not Hannalee. He had to convince her to do it.  The convincing factor? That I would catch candy for her.

Tayo loved the parade.  LOVE this face!

Bob said she enjoyed riding in it for the first part.  But by the time she got to us she was done.

The best part of the 4th is visiting with my family.

This year Hannalee was too busy playing with cousins that she could care less about going to the park.  So I took Tayo.  He wouldn't try the bounce house without me. Luckily we were the only ones in there.

Finally we convinced Hannalee to go to the park.  Her Papa Dino gave her some money to spend and this is what she used in on:

We were going to head back to my grandma's house for the fireworks, but we were having too much fun with cousins.  So we put a blanket on my Grandma Nena's lawn and watched them there. We had a way better view than anyone at the park.  It was like our own fireworks show.  That is where you find us from now on.  Tayo loved the fireworks.  He sat completely still and mesmerized the whole time.
