Fish Farm Field Trip

Hannalee's preschool took a trip to the fish farm. Hannalee was so excited. She kept saying, "My friends will be there to see fish."

The highlight of the trip was feeding the fish one little piece of fish food at a time. A $.25 cup kept Hannalee entertained for an hour. We opted out of catching a fish because we still have a freezer load of fish from my grandma.

Interesting facts: The fish farm we went to sells over 50,000 fish per year! A fish the size of my finger is already 8 months old. The kind of fish you catch to eat are 2+ years old. (I always thought they grew faster than that.) Some fish can live up to 10 years.
