Ruth's Wedding

Bob's youngest sister, Ruth, got married a couple of weeks ago. They were married in the Draper Temple. The long drive there was miserable because of Hannalee's car seat aversion (more on that later). It was wonderful to be able to attend the ceremony.

Unfortunately that day the temperatures reached 103 degrees! Taking pictures was so hot and miserable for all involved. Poor Hannie was not only hot, but it was 2:30 and she had yet to have lunch or a nap so I'm sure all of Ruth's pictures will have a crying Hannalee in them.

We got some lunch and a hour break before we headed to the reception. It was held in Jeff's parents back yard. They made it look absolutely beautiful! Though the set up took a lot longer than anticipated. They had hoped to get family pictures at 4:30, but by 6:30 when the ring ceremony was supposed to take place, Ruth was barley getting her wedding dress back on. But Ruth handled it all so eloquently! (I would have been a mess.)

It was still hot and Hannie was still ornery (not that I blame her). When we were supposed to walk down the isle for the ring ceremony, Hannalee hand wandered off, fallen between the springs on the neighbor's sunken trampoline and was screaming. I walked down the isle with the screaming Hannie then made a beeline back for the house. She was fine, it was just another tally in her already bad mood.

After the reception got going and Hannalee got food, the rest of the day went well. Hannalee didn't let the trampoline thing scare her and enjoyed lots of jumping with daddy and her cousins.
