Amazing!
In this picture she is pretending she has ski poles. :0)
This girl only works well on a full belly. I know that when she starts whining it is because she needs to refuel. This day we splurged on a plate of fries. Within minutes she was begging to get back on the slopes.
She was so tired by the end of this day. We probably did 20 runs down Little Cat! She was going so fast!
Last Friday we met Grandma Robin for some skiing. The temperatures at the top of the mountain was 40 degrees and the bottom was much warmer. The snow was so melty. There were large puddles and streams of melting snow. This made skiing hard. Hannalee couldn't figure out why she couldn't get going fast.
We decided to take her all the way to the top in the gondola. She was freaked out at first while riding the gondola, but then enjoyed it after a bit. She syked herself out about how hard it was going to be, but with some excitement build up she went for it. The first half of the mountain she skied amazingly. She even went down a blue diamond hill all by herself!
But then she got tired...and skiing got hard. It took her an hour to get to the bottom. But I am so proud of her. She rested at the lodge and wanted to go again. Unfortunately by that time the lifts had closed. Next year my sweet Hannalee, we will rock this mountain!
I thought it was crazy skiing when the valley is so snowless.
PS Did you notice the black mark at the corner of all my pictures? Tayo broke my lens cover and it won't open all the way. Grrr.
