Baby Animal Days

Bob and I made a spur of the moment decision to go to Baby Animal Days. Two thoughts: I couldn't believe how many people there were, but won't forget the looks on my kids faces.

Hannalee was amazingly patient today. She waited for kids to move so she could pet the animals. She waited a long times in lines. She was great!

She loved petting all the animals. The baby calf was laying down and she told me, "Shhh. It's sleeping, pet it softly." She got to pet a calf, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, a donkey, and a duck.

She loved holding the duck. It was peeping and she kept asking, "What is it saying? What does it want?"

I love this face. She was asking me a question about the donkey. This face is a face I see a lot of lately as she is inquisitive about everything.

Tayo was a very happy boy too. He loved the horses. I wish my camera was a video camera so you could here him laughing as he touched this horse or it got near him.

We let Hannalee choose which line she wanted to wait in; to ride a train or a horse. Horse of course! We waited nearly 45 min. and Hannalee did great. Not one whine. She was so excited to ride a "baby horse". Sadly she only got to go around the circle twice, and most of the time her saddle was falling off so she was focused on that. When it stopped she was so sad. But we moved on to more fun and she recovered.

Tayo on the other hand thought riding a horse was hilarious. He was all smiles and giggles. Silly boy.

She thought this bike was awesome. She wanted to try. Good luck Hannie.

What a fun fun day. I can't think of a better way to spend a spring day then trying something new with my little family.
