Bob's Families Christmas Party

Every year Bob's mom's family has a big Christmas party with a pot-luck meal. At the end Santa always makes an appearance and brings gifts for the younger kids.

We had to finish our Christmas shopping first, so at all the stores Hannalee kept asking, "Party?" When we'd tell her not yet she'd say, "Party, treats, Santa come."

Every year that I have ever been to one of these parties it has snowed, and snowed good. And this year was no exception. Luckily Bob's mom got there safely and Hannalee was glued to her. She would run around the gym till she found grandma.

When Santa came Hannalee was so excited. She was all smiles and kept saying, "Santa big, Hannie little. Santa, ho, ho, ho." She sat patiently till she was called up and was pretty willing to sit on Santa's lap. He asked her questions like, "Have you been good this year? What do you want for Christmas?" To all Santa's questions she answered, "Yeah."

This picture is hilarious to me. At no point when she was sitting on Santa's lap was she scared. She liked the whole idea, but this picture makes her look terrified. I think I caught her telling Santa "Yeah."

She got a animal pop up book. She loves it. When we read it at home she says, "From Santa. Thank you Santa."
