Here it is, evidence of Hannalee learning to walk. Sure she's fallen a lot, had many bumps to her head, and even gotten a paper cut once, but this was her first big scrap. We were at my grandma's house last week and Hannalee was showing off her skills. My grandma's house has one cement stair that leads down to the basement door. She was walking up and down it feeling so proud that she could do walking instead of her usual crawling. After about ten times she stopped and peered over the step, but her toes were just far enough over the step that she lost her balance and down she went. She didn't even have time to catch herself with her hands, her face did all of the catching. Poor baby. She cried, we snuggled, and then she was OK. But now her pretty little face is all scabbed over. Thankfully these things heal and babies bounce right back, because she tried the step again.
