Preschool Golf Field Trip

 We had the opportunity to take my preschool to the local golf course.  (We had an in, one of my student's dad is the manager of it.)  I was thinking it would be fun...but mostly just to be outside and let the kids hit some balls around.  Little did I know that it was going to be a blast! Not just for the kids, but the adults too.

First up was helping Mr. Golf Man get the course ready for the day.  The kids helped raise the flag.  Then they got to go down in the garage and clean some golf balls with a fancy machine.

Next he turned to us parents and said, "Have you all driven a golf cart?"  We all said no.  "Well today you'll learn."  He let each parent drive a golf cart to cart around the kids! It was a blast!!  Hannie was super enthusiastic and Tayo really wanted to get his hands on the wheel for a turn at driving.

He took us on a tour of the whole golf coarse.  Tayo's favorite part was going into the lawnmower garage.  Heaven for a Tayo boy.

Hannie's favorite part was finding a hippo.  (Mr. Golf Man said that hippos like to stay under water.  We were supposed to look for lots of bubbles coming out of the water and that is where the hippo sleeps.  Well one of the ponds had lots of bubbles where they pump out water to water the grass.  Now, you can't tell Hannie that there isn't a hippo living at the golf coarse. ;0)

We stopped at the hitting range and hit some golf balls.

 

Tayo decided it was much easier just to throw the ball over the edge.

What a wonderful field trip.  Hannalee was talking about it for weeks, telling about the day she got to ride in a four-wheeler with a roof.
