Tayo is changing quickly. In the last week he has finally picked up on communication skills. I've been doing sign language with him, but he has never done it back (except for "all done"). This week he is using the sign for more, he will fold his arms for prayer., and when we ask him for a "kiss, kiss" he'll lean in to kiss us right on the lips. (He'll even kiss Hannie.)
His current vocabulary is "yeah", "this", and "dada's".
Tayo is full of mischief. We rarely had to lock Hannie out of the bathroom, worry about her getting into cupboards or drawers, or worry about her grabbing things she wasn't supposed to. But this little man loves to push our limits. He'll go to do something that we've told him no, look at us, smile and then do it. He's going to be a tricky one to discipline.
Tayo is all boy. He won't touch Hannie's dolls. He loves to push around cars and make car sounds. His favorite toy is a toy vacuum that makes noise. He loves things that make manly sounds; 4-wheelers, lawn mowers, weed-eaters. These pictures were taken when he was trying to follow Bob around while he was weed-eating. The next day he would point to the weed-eater and say "Dada's". He loves the dirt and the sand. (And thankfully he is not a "put-everything-in-his-mouth" kind of kid.)
Even though he is growing up he still loves his thumb, his blanky, his bottle, and to snuggle. Oh how we love this little boy!!
