Hannalee

Hannalee was born after 17 hours of labor. She weighed 7 lb. 4 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. She surprised us all by having a full head of dark hair (which she hasn't lost, but it is lightening up a bit.). I think she looks the most like Bob. But she defiantly has her mom's big feet.






The fist few weeks with Hannalee were difficult. She was very fussy and didn't like to lay down on her back. We found out that she has acid reflux (poor baby). We put her crib on an incline, but she still preferred to sleep in her infant chair. The doctor put her on Axid but it didn't seem to do any good so I stopped giving it to her after two weeks. But then it got a lot worse and she was crying and screaming constantly. She would only sleep for 45 min to 1 hour at most.



Now she is on Prevacid and doing so much better! A couple of days after we started giving it to her she started smiling and cooing. It made being a parent a bit more gratifying. She is also sleeping better and is now sleeping in her crib. When she slept 3 hours in a row we thought we were in heaven. Then a couple days later it was 5 hours and now it is7!! I still wake up often wanting to check on her because she is sleeping so long.

Bob and I are enjoying her so much. Hannalee loves to lay on the changing table and smile and "talk" to us. She also enjoys to be sprayed off during her baths. She's not a snugly baby. She would much rather be laying on the floor looking at you than being held. She is so active and makes so much noise, I think we are in for it when she gets older.

Hannalee is gaining weight wonderfully. Last Monday she weighed in at 11 lb 3 oz! She loves to eat.
